Pathway to Glorious Destiny – Your Attitude, Psa 103 v 1-7

INTRODUCTION

This week, we are trying to focus on the power of right attitude to a glorious destiny as ordained in creation, Gen 1 v 26-28 and re-enacted in redemption, Eph 2 v 10, Isa 59 v 1-3

DEFINITION OF TERMS

1.        Pathway means a course, direction or process to a predestined location or goal. To every glorious destiny there is a pathway, John 14 v 6

2.      Attitude is:

·       Inward feeling expressed by outward behavior

·       The advanced man of your true self within

·       A reflection or display of how far nature and nurture (environment) have modified the original good legacy of God in us during creation, Gen 1 v 26-28

·       Internal disposition or force mirrored externally in stable, observable , readable and understandable responses or reactions towards God, others and work (action)

·       The sum total of choice (decisions) you have made in life, Deut 30 v 19-20

THREE FUNDAMENTAL LIFE ATTITUDES

1.        Attitude toward God, Deut 30 v 19-20

2.      Attitude toward life,

3.      Attitude toward work, Josh 1 v 8

Attitude toward God is pivotal of the three above because good understanding in relationship with God positions and continually repositions you in life and relationship with others, Pro 20 v 27, John 14 v 6, Phil 2 v 5

EXAMPLES OF BIBLICAL AND LIFE EXAMPLES OF POSITIVE ATTITUDE

1.        Jesus – I Cor 2 v 16. He was totally obedient to the will of the Father, God, operating in the fulness of His will

2.      Abraham – Rom 4 v 22. Strong in faith giving God glory

3.      Daniel – Dan 2 v. a man of total dependence on God

4.     Joseph – Gen 39 v 8-23. Right attitude towards God delivered and lifted him from prison to palace, favoured by men.

5.      David Oyedepo – Believed God into signs and wonders of increase and enlargement in ministry. Attitude of praise is easily identified in him

WHAT POSITIVE ATTITUDE DOES FOR YOU

1.        Attracts God and everything good to you wherever you find yourself

2.      Enables you to effectively thank, praise and worship for distinction and increase

3.      Helps transfer your battles (challenges) to God, II Chro 20 v 15,22

4.     Reveals God’s voice and will as with Abraham who had no teacher, bible, pastor nor any prehistoric inspirational materials but became so enlightened in God as to become father of faith

5.      Makes you a commander, I Chro 12 v 32

SPECIAL TIPS

1.        The weight of your giving, as of Abraham giving of Isaac, is a function of your attitude toward God, Gen 22 v 15-12

2.      No one attains a height beyond his attitude toward his Creator , God; your distinction is a function of your attitude toward God, Luke 16 v 15-17
